Information on juicing Celery
Celery can add a refreshing taste to your juice recipes. When choosing celery for juicing make sure that the celery stalks are straight and the ribs are ridgid. The stalks should be firm. The leaves should not be wilting and should not show signs of over yellowing.
Keep celery in the fridge. Wash the celery to remove any soil from between the ridges / inside of the stalk. Top and tail the celery before juicing.
Celery juice is a good source of potassium. Potassium is very good for the skin and is also used to regulate blood pressure.
More calories are burned digesting a stalk of raw celery than the number of calories that the celery contains.
Celery is actually a member of the carrot family, it was first recorded as a plant in France in 1623.
